The Association is actively promoting the philosophy of performance informed budgeting process as well as advocating for policies that will actively translate into tangible economic progress of the country at all levels (National and Local).
As the world opened its eyes to the need to reduce poverty levels continentally, we see our core objective of supporting enhanced transparency and accountability a reliable catalyst to achieving this goal.
Our Board set a dedicated team of passionate budget-work experts and leaners on a quest to find suitable strategies, test them in the environment and critically study outcomes for better application and escalation.
Today, BRass remains a driven, evidence-based association committed to providing viable cost and eco-effective development solutions to make Nigerians more knowledgeable and become active participants in the budget process.
Our membership is open and non-discriminative. We particularly promote participation of the vulnerable groups (women and youth) in actively participating in our core activities.

The Budget Advocacy & Reforms Association (BRAss) is dedicated to promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in public financial management through its comprehensive budget work. The organization focuses on empowering communities to engage actively in the budgeting process, from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. By leveraging grassroots initiatives like the Community Budget Advocacy Club (CoBAC), BRAss equips individuals and civil society groups with the knowledge and tools to advocate for equitable resource allocation and efficient public spending. Additionally, BRAss collaborates with government agencies, private sector actors, and international partners to advance policy reforms that enhance fiscal responsibility and ensure that budgets align with the developmental priorities of the communities they serve. This work not only improves governance but also drives sustainable development and social inclusion.
